Heat Tournament will be played using the Game’s base rules across all 4 maps.

Event Notes:

• Date: March 11, 2023
• Time: 12pm to 6pm
• Location: Haslet, address to be sent via group message, text, or private message
• Tournament cost to enter will be $15.00 upfront.
• We will take PayPal, Venmo, or Cash.
• Note that this is non-refundable even if you choose not to finish the tournament.
• There will be a 30-45 minute “demo” of the game for those who want to learn to play or need a refresher.
• Please watch the following video to learn Heat: Pedal to the Metal.

Additional rules are as follows:

• No one adjusts their Gear during the 1st step of the round, but everyone still plays cards.
• Once you get to the Reveal & Move step, you show how many cards you played and only then adjust your Gear.
• If you adjust the Gear up/down two steps, you must pay 1 Heat in your Reveal step immediately.
  Note: If you accidentally shifted two Gears but cannot pay the Heat, adjust the number of cards accordingly.
• If the mistake happened while shifting up, discard one of the played cards randomly.
• If the mistake happens while shifting down, flip cards from your deck until you reveal a Speed card and add it to your play area like when you play a Stress card. Finally, place your Gear pawn into the correct Gear.

The following is determined on a 24-player count. Any differing information will be shared in the player meeting before the tournament:        

• First Round tables will be randomized
• Second round
• Winners and second place of tracks A, C, and D will proceed to table B
• Winner and second place of track B will proceed to track C. Along with Third place from tracks A, B, and D.
• Third place from track C proceeds to track C.
• All remaining seats will be randomized.
• All remaining rounds will be seated based on ranking in the Grand Prix and tracks played,
• No driver will run the same circuit twice.

1st Place – 9 Points
2nd Place – 6 Points
3rd Place – 4 Points
4th Place – 3 Points
5th Place – 2 Points
6th Place – 1 Points
